St Mary’s Music School Edinburgh
St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh, Scotland, is one of the nine specialist Government funded Music and Dance Schools which offer the finest training in Great Britain.
The School was established in 1880 to educate the Choristers of St Mary’s Cathedral and in 1972 opened its doors to young musicians aged 9 to 19. Today, as Scotland’s national music school, the School provides an exceptional music and academic education to around 15 choristers and 65 gifted young instrumentalists from Scotland, the rest of the UK and abroad.
It also offers residential small-scale music summer schools for young people, and weekend classes for children age 4 to 12.
