The Royal School of Church Music is an educational charity committed to promoting the study, practice and improvement of music in Christian worship. We are an open, lifelong learning organisation, offering face-to-face and distance education and training through its programmes, published resources, courses and activities.

To support the RSCM in its mission to sustain music within churches and communities we now invite expressions of interest, either directly or by recommendation, for a re-defined Deputy Director position with responsibility for the RSCM’s education programme, including management of:

  • A central professional education, and safeguarding, team
  • Voluntary networks across the UK
  • Relationships with church networks

This senior leadership position will be offered at 0.8FTE. Significant managerial and leadership skills and experience are required in addition to a passion for the mission of the RSCM – the improvement of music in Christian worship.

Dates

  • The closing date is 12 noon 3 February 2020
  • First round interviews will be held on 10 February with final interviews 4/5 March
