World Choral Conducting Competition – 6 conductors through to second round

Twelve competitors took part in Round 1 of the inaugural World Choral Conducting Competition in Hong Kong on 12 July. The jury, chaired by Professor Péter Erdei, narrowed the field to six competitors, who will proceed to Round 2 on 13 July to compete for one of three places in the final on 14 July.

In alphabetical order, the conductors going through to Round 2 are:

The 2019 World Choral Conducting Competition takes place in Hong Kong from 12-14 July. The event is organised and presented by the World Youth & Children Choral Artists’ Association.
