Walking in Beauty with Darius Lim

In collaboration with the Voices of Singapore Choral Society, this project will present an exceptional program that brings to life the emotional power, sonic richness, and cultural depth of Asian choral music.
Already, nine choirs from Singapore – including children’s, women’s, men’s, and mixed choirs – are participating in the project.
Registered choirs will have the opportunity not only to perform the shared repertoire, but also to present solo showcases in accompanying concerts and at the Philharmonie.

The program includes eight works by Darius Lim, among them
Ave Maria, The Fire Dance of Luna, and The Shadow Dance of Sylva.
At the heart of the project lies something truly special:
Darius Lim is composing two new world premieres especially for Walking in Beauty — works that will be heard for the very first time in this context and that make this project musically unique.
Location
CHORALSPACE – Berlin’s concert promoter for choral music since 2021. We bring together international choirs, individual singers and ensembles, transforming Berlin into a stage full of musical moments.
