West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

WestK is a major international arts and cultural district located on Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. Encompassing 40 hectares of cultural venues, green spaces and waterfront promenades, it provides a meeting place where artists, audiences and communities from Hong Kong, the Asia-Pacific region and around the world can connect.

The district is home to M+, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Xiqu Centre, Freespace and the Art Park. Its expanding portfolio of venues supports artistic creation and presentation across music, dance, theatre, xiqu, visual culture and interdisciplinary practice, with the new WestK Performing Arts Centre due to open in 2027.

Alongside exhibitions and performances, WestK delivers festivals, artist residencies, commissions, learning programmes, professional development and community activities. Through local and international partnerships, it supports artistic exchange, nurtures emerging talent and strengthens Hong Kong’s role as a cultural gateway between Asia and the wider world.
