The 2026 World Choir Festival – Hong Kong will bring together choirs for five days of competition, concerts, workshops, masterclasses and cultural exchange from 12–16 July 2026.
The World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association has announced details of the overall programme for the 2026 World Choir Festival – Hong Kong, taking place from 12–16 July 2026. The festival is organised by the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association, with associate organisers including the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing Association, China Music Education Magazine and the Chinese Musicians Association – Hong Kong.
Core dates Choirs and delegates are expected to arrive on 12 July 2026, with departure scheduled for 16 July 2026. Extension packages are also available.
Programme elements The festival programme will include: - International Choir Competition - Starry Concerts - Friendship Concerts - Interactive Workshops - Masterclasses
Tentative schedule The festival begins on 12 July with check-in during the afternoon, followed by the Opening Concert in the evening. On 13 and 14 July, choirs will take part in competition sessions, interactive workshops and masterclasses during the day, with Starry Concerts taking place in the evening. On 15 July, the programme includes the Prize-giving Ceremony and announcement of finalists in the morning, followed by Friendship Concerts and cultural excursions in the afternoon. The Final Round and Closing Ceremony will take place that evening. Departure day is scheduled for the morning of 16 July. Festival activities are expected to take place at venues including the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Hong Kong City Hall, with departure arrangements linked to the festival hotel.
