Bob Chilcott
Bob Chilcott is one of the world’s most performed choral composers, celebrated for his ability to write music that connects singers and audiences alike.
Biography
Bob Chilcott’s lifelong relationship with choral music began as a chorister and later choral scholar at King’s College, Cambridge.
After singing with the renowned King’s Singers, he became a full-time composer and conductor in 1997. Bob has conducted choirs in more than 30 countries and leads thousands of singers each year through his popular Singing Days.
He has served as Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Singers since 2002 and, since 2019, Principal Conductor of Birmingham University Singers.
His music has been recorded by some of the UK’s leading ensembles, including The King’s Singers, King’s College, Cambridge, Wells Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, The Sixteen, Tenebrae, The BBC Singers, The Bach Choir, Commotio and ORA.
