RSCM announces 2026 Honorary Awards recipients
The Royal School of Church Music has announced the recipients of its 2026 Honorary Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to church music across international, national, regional and local settings.
The awards are conferred each year by the RSCM Council and will be presented at the organisation’s annual Celebration Day, taking place at Salisbury Cathedral later this year.
The 2026 Fellows of the Royal School of Church Music are Adrian Lucas and Walden Moore. Fellowship is awarded for achievements in church music and/or liturgy of internationally recognised significance, or for exceptional work within the RSCM with national impact.
This year’s Associates of the Royal School of Church Music are Tom Daggett, Carleton Etherington, David Fawcett, Canon David Halls, Richard Lea and Peter Watts.
Honorary Membership has been awarded to Thomas Allain Chapman, Ben Collingwood, William Lupton, Alan and Tracey Reed, Michael Smith and Phil Taylor, recognising significant work contributing to church music and/or liturgy at national or international level.
The Nicholson Award, recognising significant administrative work within the RSCM or notable contribution to church music and/or liturgy at local level, has been awarded to John Granger, Terence Holt, Mark Keith, Elizabeth Trenchard and Glenis Westbury.
